The Franklin Lakes Volunteer Ambulance Corps is comprised of a dedicated group of individuals who live or work in Franklin Lakes. They unselfishly dedicate their time and energy to provide ambulance service & pre-hospital care to the Borough of Franklin Lakes and other municipalities without cost. The corps also provides standby coverage and assistance when requested by the Police or Fire Departments, in the event of a fire, disaster, civil disorder, and for community events in our town. Our mission is to provide to our community timely, caring and professional emergency medical service.
All volunteer members are certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and are required to complete 120 hours of initial training and 48 hours of training every 3 years to maintain their EMT qualifications. They also undergo on-the-job training and periodic elective training to keep their skills fresh and current.
The Ambulance Corps is located on Bender Court across the street from the Fire Department. Anyone interested in learning more about our Volunteer Ambulance Corps can telephone us at 201-891-5151or e-mail us at President@flvac.com.
